You know what they say about dessert: Life is short, so eat it first! Well, we didn't think about that until after our main courses arrived at lunch today. To make up for our faux pas, we're serving up dessert photos first. Does this look good, or what?!

Everything at Paper Plane in Nice was fresh, tasty, and homemade--including this amazing carrot cake!

We dined at Paper Plane, a sweet little vegan spot in Nice that we'd have visited a lot sooner if we'd known just how good the food was. We sampled a few different menu items, including entrees like a winter salad with spelt, blood oranges, roasted yellow beets, toasted pecans, and dill.

We doubled down on the entrees: a tartine with homemade herbed cheese, roasted pumpkin, and pickled onions, and an amazing winter salad with spelt, blood oranges, beets, and pecans.

We enjoyed the ambiance as much as the food; the decor was fresh and modern, with lots of plants and natural light. And one thing we never get tired of here in France is seeing dogs in restaurants. We wish the rest of the world was as dog-friendly as France!
