Today's big adventure in Sri Lanka involved a behind-the-scenes look at how hoppers--a kind of rice-and-coconut crepe--are made. (Check out our Instagram for a video of the action!) The final result is what you see below: a tangy, crispy, chewy disk of goodness that you slather with homemade chili sauce and savor. Two of them (and all the hot sauce you can eat) costs somewhere in the vicinity of 25 - 50 cents. Yup! Tasty AND cheap! We'll learn more about hoppers and other Sri Lankan specialties when we return with a small group of vegan adventurers to experience this magical place in 2019. Stay tuned!
