We had Grezzo on our must-try list, but like so many other things, it got lost in the shuffle of a very active and overly ambitious travel schedule. Between museum jaunts and vegan dining expeditions, we very nearly forgot about this place. But it found us! We were walking home this evening when suddenly, there we were, right in front of the shop. This is Rome's raw vegan chocolate shop, and not only do they do fabulous-looking (and, presumably, tasting) truffles and other decadent bon-bons, but they also offer raw gelato in all of our favorite nut flavors: hazelnut, almond, and pistachio. We each got a couple of scoops and savored the not-overly-sweet flavors. The perfect afternoon pick-me-up on a hot Italian evening!
