James Baldwin, Chagall, Roger Moore

So, what do these guys have in common? They have all lived, at one point in time, in the tiny, adorable, and extremely picturesque village of St. Paul de Vence, about 20 kilometers from Nice on the Cote d'Azur.

As you roam the artistically rendered stone streets of this historic town, its pretty easy to see why creative types were attracted to this place. Depending on where you're standing within the ancient ramparts, you can see the shimmering Mediterranean sea, the snow-capped Mercantour mountains, and rolling green hills topped with palms and conifers as far as the eyes can see. Can hardly wait until June!

We're headed here on our Vegan on the French Riviera tour for a guided walk through town (and through time), with stops at Chagall's gravestone, centuries-old churches, Belle Epoque cafes, and some scenic overlooks so our guests can take in those gorgeous views.
